Oral Conscious Sedation

If your child is fearful and anxious going to the dentist for a dental procedure there are options to ease the fear and anxiety. Oral conscious sedation could be an option for your child. Oral conscious sedation is not intented  to "knock your child out" like some other forms of anesthesia. Your child will remain awake during the dental  procedure, but he/she will be in a heightened state of relaxation. In some cases the child is able to talk during the procedure. It also makes long or complex procedures seem shorter. Oral conscious sedation is safe but should be performed by a trained dentist.

Don't wait any longer to have necessary dental work performed because your child is nervous. Ask your dentist about oral conscious sedation to see if it is right for your child.
